Hanne is a part time TV junkie, part time nail tech, and full time student. She's pursuing a Bachelor's degree in English at Clark University. Hanne loves the majority of shows on TV; from reality shows such as Big Brother, to comedies like The Big Bang Theory, to dramas like Pretty Little Liars. Growing up, she found books to be a great escape, and that quickly transformed into a love of television. She especially loves how reality shows allow you to form a bond with people - both the stars of the show and other fans - whom you most likely never would have met or interacted with otherwise. The Amazing Race recap videos are what introduced Hanne to Your Reality Recaps, and YRR in turn introduced her to an entire new world of reality shows. You can follow with her on twitter to get her perspective about everything from TV shows to random thoughts about life.

This leg of the race started (at 3:26am, which is way too early, if you ask me!) with teams learning that they will be flying to Bangkok, Thailand, then make their way to Wat Yannawa to receive their next clue. Blair conveys that he is unhappy with being blamed for everything, so today Hayley is in charge. Although I do agree that Hayley nagged him a bit too much last leg, he has been making a lot of mistakes on the race and ignoring Hayley’s opinion. The earliest flight is at 6 am, and all the teams make this flight…

This leg of the race starts off with teams learning that they will be flying to Phuket, Thailand! Actually, the episode started by focusing on which blind date teams asked to stay in separate hotel rooms at the pit stop, and which are sharing. It seems that all of the blind date teams are simply here to run the race, except Jackie & Jeffrey, who might have a connection. Bergen & Kurt say that they aren’t a match, romantically, as they’re both looking for a big masculine man, but that they’re friends who want to win the race. When teams…

This week’s episode started with teams discovering that although they have a place to stay overnight, it’s essentially an office cubicle. Racers have definitely slept in more uncomfortable places, though – like a sidewalk in the rain. In the morning, teams discover that they will be taking a bullet train to Nagano, Japan. Jeff tells us that he has the hottest date, and hopefully it’s possible to find love and win the million dollars. Jelani & Jenny get tickets on a train that leaves at 6:30 am (it seems like the current time is 6:14 am), so some – but…

It’s official, The Amazing Race is back! This season began unlike any other, with casting clips from the single racers talking about how hard it is to find love. Apparently Phil is not only the host of TAR, he’s also a matchmaker! The starting line for this season was a bit different too – the 6 established couples are present, as are 5 of the single men, but the other 5 singles are missing. Phil explains the twist of this season to the 6 couples, then announces that the singles will now meet their blind dates. Four women and one…

The Amazing Race is back! Well, it’ll be back in less than a month; the premiere date is Wednesday, February 25th. But CBS has revealed the cast and two of the twists for this season, so we’ll have somewhat of an idea of what to expect. The major twist this season is that it’s the dating season; every team is comprised of a dating couple. However, five of the couples didn’t meet until the starting line, making TAR season 26 a giant blind date for them. The other twist is the Date Night Pass – on each leg, one team will…

It’s finally here, the last episode of The Amazing Race Season 25! It’s pretty bittersweet for me, because I’ll miss getting to do a recap blog every week, but I’m also looking forward to finding out who won The Amazing Race Season 25! I think it might be Adam & Bethany, because they’ve been doing really well, and they have such an inspirational story/outlook on life. I would really like to see either the surfers or the scientists win, but out of the two teams, I think the surfers have a better chance at winning. This leg of TAR began as…

This leg of The Amazing Race began with Misti telling us that she cut her foot at the end of the last leg, but it will just make her work harder to make it to the final 3. At the pit start, Misti & Jim receive a clue telling them to take a jeepney to Rajah Sulayman Park. Amy & Maya get a jeepney, then allow the driver to stop and pick up the dentists. I get that the scientists are nice, but I feel that it’s pretty stupid to ask a team to share a cab this late in…

This leg of TAR began with a clue instructing teams to fly to Manila, Philippines, and pick up their next clue from a flower vendor. The surfers book a flight for 7:25 pm, arriving in Manila at 11:00 pm. The wrestlers go to a travel agency and get tickets for the same flight, while the scientists -who left last- use their taxi driver’s phone to book the 7:25 pm flight on the way to the airport. When the dentists arrive at the airport, the soonest available flight is at 8:10 pm, arriving in Manila at 11:55 pm. The dentists are…

This leg of The Amazing Race began with Bethany and Adam learning that they will be traveling to Singapore. Production has booked them a flight from Malta to Paris, but teams are responsible for booking a flight from Paris to Singapore. Of course, if they find better tickets than those given to them, teams are allowed to buy new tickets. Bethany & Adam book tickets to arrive in Singapore at 6:40 am. Both the dentists and the surfers bring up the alliance between everyone except the cyclists, which is important to remind the viewers of since there is a double…

This leg of The Amazing Race, teams have to travel to Malta, then pick up an order of drinks from The Bridge Bar and make their way up Saint Ursula’s Staircase and deliver the drinks to the Knights of Malta to receive their next clue. As teams wonder where Malta is, Amy reveals that her leg has been hurting her, since she did rigorous training too fast before TAR. Brooke takes this opportunity to mock the way Amy is walking, since Amy is limping because her leg hurts. On the ferry to Malta, the dentists discuss the cyclists with Brooke.…
